MrTJ Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 Well, due to my forgetfullness i left my banshee key in another vehicle that is currently about a 1000 miles away. im getting it mailed to me so i will have it next week some time but i had planned on doing some riding this weekend. I heard it's not to hard to disconect somthing and not need the key to start it but i never had the need to do this, so i dont know if it really works, or what to do. anyone know anything about this? thanks Quote

MrTJ Posted April 22, 2005 Author Report Posted April 22, 2005 Alright, thanks! i can have some fun this weekend now but how hard is it to undo it so th key is needed again. its not to important i suppose but i would like the key to be needed again. Quote
locogato11283 Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 i would just do away with the key all together. theres really no point in it. if someone wants to steal it all they gotta do is splice the wires together. its not really a theft deterrent system or anythiing. Quote

MILO Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 i hotwired mine once. we went to a poker run and just as we were about to hit the trails, i discovered that i didn't have my key. i knew i had it when i left the house, i made sure of it. not in the truck, or any pockets, searched everywhere. i wasn't gonna sit out the ride so we wired it. i had a spare at home so i rehooked it after we got back. later while washing my riding clothes, i found my key. it had fallen thru a hole in my pocket and was hanging in the inner liner of my pants at my ankle the whole time i prefer to have the key there. not so much for theft deterrent though, well not in a permanent sense. just to keep friends, family, whatever from taking off with it without my permission or not knowing about it, which actually rarely ever happened but when it did it really ticked me off. otherwise it never leaves the switch anyway.
