im a newbie...is the rocket pipes a noticable increase in power or is it just a hype for big sales....is changing to them really a big difference in power??also i read you have to trim the plastic for them to fit.......how much??

i have heard nothing but good things about running rockets on a stock motor. i hear the performance gains are pretty damn significant. there are several guys here on HQ who will tell you that as soon as they see this thread. as for trimming check the rocket pipe website gallery. there are some pictures in there...

Putting any pipe on a stock machine will make a difference, wakes it up. The rockets, from what I've been reading, is THE pipes to buy. Whatever you decide on, remember to rejet. If you haven't already done it, get a different air filter, stock setup sucks.

I put CPI's on my stock bike, and they made a wonder of a difference. Rockets are suppose to pull even harder on top, new pipes are a MUST on a stock bike!! I am even thinking of switching to rockets when I need new pipes.
