nosbanshee4u Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 (edited) I recently put on a new clutch perch, cable and clutchplates with stiffer springs. The clutch pull is unbelievably hard to pull, the springs said they were either 20 or 30% so I wouldn't think it would be too hard to pull. Either I am just a big puss or I think I need to get a hydrolic cluch because after a day in the dunes I feel like I have the bionic arm. Everyone whos ridden it will comment on it after getting off. Its pretty smooth in operation so I think everything is on there correctly. Is there anything that you guys can think of that would be a cheaper fix than a hydro clutch????? bkabina Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 Try running the cable another way.Sometimes they can bind up from to sharp a bend and make it harder to pull the clutch. Quote
ssanddemon Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 And did you install ALL the stiffer springs? Most guys don't do it unless it's a really big horsepower motor. I just run half and half, it's not too stiff but never slips. Quote
Ruko Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 I just put on a Magura hydrolic lever and it works pretty good but they cost quite a bit. A couple buddies of mine got some easy pull levers and they're great. They make a huge difference and they're CHEAP. I wish I would have got one of those first. Quote
FIRST BANSHEE Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 I would run 3 stiff and 3 stock, it's alot easier to pull. Quote
