jjfizzle51 Posted April 19, 2005 Report Posted April 19, 2005 i have klots and run 40:1 not to expensive running 24:1 with synthetic is just as much as running klots at 40:1 i bet i used to run it that rich it sucked i went through oil way to quick Quote
bigscary Posted April 19, 2005 Report Posted April 19, 2005 Im going to run home on my lunch break in an hour or so. check my plug and Brand of oil. Thanks for your help Anthony 357004[/snapback] I run 50:1 sonoco purple and belray mc1 Quote
JArmShee Posted April 20, 2005 Author Report Posted April 20, 2005 I drained the tank and ran 32:1 yest.. Much better. But I feel like it should have more punch in power band. For all the work done to it I feel like I should be getting thrown off the bike. Its not studdering or having problems starting. Clean through out all throttle positions. So is it I was just expecting more compared to a stock banshee. should i rejet? Quote
NEVER SATISFIED Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 (edited) depends on what mods you have...i would rejet.. what size mains you have? Edited April 20, 2005 by NEVER SATISFIED Quote
JArmShee Posted April 20, 2005 Author Report Posted April 20, 2005 Pro design head 22cc domes.(Sea level Pump gas) 33mm Keihin Carbs, Stage iV manifolds, Tommey T5 pipes. Reed spacers Power reeds, Boost bottle, Sprockets 13F 42R. I want to double check but im 99% sure its a 165 Main. Quote
NEVER SATISFIED Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 i'd go up 5 sizes on the main then if it bogs... go down 3 sizes if doesnt bog .. go up one and should be ok... Quote
JArmShee Posted April 20, 2005 Author Report Posted April 20, 2005 sorry.. So go to 170. If it bogs, go down to 167. if that doesnt bog go up to 168? What if the 170 doesnt bog? 171? Thanks Anthony Quote
NEVER SATISFIED Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 i think they go up for that carb by the 5's... so if your at 165 then it would be 170 .175 . 180 . 185 . 190 . .. . .. example: put in the 190... at wot she bogs.. slap in the 180... at wot she doesnt bog slap in the 185... try er again and she should be ok.... or if it bogs on the 180 then put in a 175... but with all that i bet sheeeeeeel like the 185 o 190... i wish i had those carbs!!! JArmShee Posted April 20, 2005 Author Report Posted April 20, 2005 So basically i want to get the largest size main in as possible. (Without bog obviously) Sorry about all the questions if the shees were fuel injected i could write a book on them. Thanks again. BTW we were talkign about plugs and oil a few days ago Its a B8ES NGK and I run full synthetic Golden Spectro. I went to 32:1 and the smoke is a light hase. Anthony Quote
NEVER SATISFIED Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 (edited) yeah good smoke man!! lol... i know you know the heat ratio on your plugs as far as the #'s... so your ok there and if you put in a bigger main... the she will keep pullin instead of it winding out and you wanting it to still keep pullin that main will suck more fuel for the air and get you to top speed before its more gas then air... let me tell you i went from a 210 main to a 400 main... and still needs a larger one... haha.. but you have bigger carbs so dont think yours will jump quit that high... that fast...
