quick-z Posted April 18, 2005 Report Posted April 18, 2005 I just tore down my shee today and I had one melted piston. Im thinking of haveing it ported. If so would I end up needing bigger carbs?. Or is there anything else I should upgrade due to the increase in power. As of now my mods are paul turner powerhead 22cc domes paul turner midrange pipes duncan pyramid reeds k-n pro flow filter ajustable timing plate +4 and Im still running the stock carbs. Also need some advice on what pistons to get,a good strong durable set thanks Quote

decon Posted April 18, 2005 Report Posted April 18, 2005 wiseco makes good pistons. you can get the stock carbs bored out to 28 so it will perform better. as for porting, get eric gorr's mo betta everywhere port, its real cheap at 200 bucks, and will perform real good, just ask stclark and locogato. only thing i would change is gearing to get the full use out of your mods.
