Bansheeman1121 Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 (edited) And i dont mean i have alot of money.....Ok plug is oily and dark, at idle it just loads up so bad you cant clear it up until you shift to at least 3rd gear and pin it, you dont get that crisp rev you get a sound like its chokin on oil..just get a spit and sputter in 1st and second until you start gettin powerband from 3rd to 6th, these are 30mm carbs what should i adjust mains, needle, air feul screw, pilot what needs to be done thanx Edited April 12, 2005 by Bansheeman1121 Quote
1sreamin350 Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 What where you runnin for mains before? If the plugs have oil all over them you need to drop the mains 2-3 then start from there. Keep doing the plug chop until you get it lookin good then adjust your needle and air screw maybe pilot. Good luck! Quote
05bansh Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 Damn I wish I was really rich, then I could have a really sick modded shee Quote
SANDSTAR Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 Do a plug chop with your current settings. Best to know where you currently are and then adjust accordingly rather than just taking a stab in the dark. Also, whats your premix ratio? Quote
mxbanshee Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 Read Jetting link in my signiture, it'al help ya out! Quote
Ducman Posted April 16, 2005 Report Posted April 16, 2005 Sounds like you may be rich on all jetting. I'd get the bike to idle good with good off idle snap then get your needle dialed, and finish with the mains. It will make it hard to tell how its runing on the top end if it runs like shit untill you go WOT.. To start, try turning your air screws out, if more than 2.5 turns out, go to the next smaller pilot size. Next drop the needlle down a notch or 2. If these changes get the bottom end performance feeling peppy then your are going in the right direction you should be able to get her dialed in on the pilots with the airscrews and possible changing the pilot once, about 3 trys on the needle (you may work your way down untill it feels lean and then come back a notch). Now do some WOT checks on the main and get it dialed. You may want to post all of your mods, what type of carbs and what is the current jetting that way people can give your a closer starting point so you know what size jets/needles you may need to buy.
