89Steeda Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 My 4 mill Cub also has a lot of low end. The torque curve is real smooth up to 50 ft. lbs. The power is there, you just don't have to use it all if you don't want to. More low end than a stock Banshee and definitly way more low end than a drag port, stock cylinder(stock stroke). I think the low end comes from the 4 mill stroke. I have never rode a "trail port" motor, so I can't comment on that. Quote
locogato11283 Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 what i am saying is that for me, the cubs dont produce enough bottom end for me to want to trail ride them. now take this into account. the last banshee that i ever trail rode was my brothers with the gorr woods port. now that porting has bottom end with power coming on around 4000rpms. if i were to trail ride a banshee it would have a gorr woods port. i suppose if you were used to riding something that made power a little further up in the rpm range you might be ok with the cubs. all im saying is that from my experience with trail riding a banshee has come from a low end port job. i really think that the cubs will be more at home at the dunes and for dragging and id be willing to bet that vast majority of them will be used for just that. 89Steeda Posted April 12, 2005 Report Posted April 12, 2005 I'm gonna kinda agree with you Loco, the Cubs may have more torque through the rpm range(at least I think they do), but the low end port job will probably be easier to ride in the trails. Kinda like how Honda detuned the CR 500 thru the years to make it more "ridable". I'm just a dune goon anyway, rarely see a trail. Quote
