JoshWht Posted April 7, 2005 Report Posted April 7, 2005 I was just wondering if there was any kind of rule of thumb compression wise, for when you should rebuild your motor or if you just have to go by when it won't start by kicking it anymore and you have to resort to pop starting it. I know my compression is not up to par, but it is still above 100lbs. Thanks for the input, - Josh Quote
broke Posted April 7, 2005 Report Posted April 7, 2005 If it's stock, I usually rebuild when they start getting close to 100. It will start to be a bitch to start. Quote
JoshWht Posted April 7, 2005 Author Report Posted April 7, 2005 It should have like what, 130 lbs or so when it is fresh? Quote
Rare Scottish Tree Badger Posted April 7, 2005 Report Posted April 7, 2005 It should have like what, 130 lbs or so when it is fresh? 350921[/snapback] That's about right, unless you're above 1000ft. ... Check out Dave Noss' chart at the bottom of his 'Banshee Heads' page for approximations on different altitudes. ... http://www.nossmachine.com/banshee_heads.htm Rare. Quote
