KoooPSD Posted April 5, 2005 Report Posted April 5, 2005 (edited) on my 04 banshee which has little riding time, the right cylinder pops alittle. I just bought new plugs.....switched plug tops and its still on the right side. The old right side plug would not even fire anymore so i put a new one in and it fires...but it pops. With the choke on its fine. I just cleaned the carbs, and they are clean, tops are all on right, and the choke tube is connected, both idel screws are set the same, and the bike is sync'd as far as i know....any ideas? PS. the bike is stock, even the air filter setup. Edited April 5, 2005 by KoooPSD Quote

sheefreak Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 When you pull the choke, it richens up your ckt, good indication of an airleak if the ckoke fixes the problem. If both sides did it I would just say you are lean, but this isn't the case. May want to do a leakdown test. Quote
fun_on_the_sand Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 Sound more like an air leak.. check the boots between carbs and air box and between carbs and intakes. check the reeds, you may have a broken petal broken. Quote
LTDANIEL Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 You know how when you put the e-brake on,then you go to start it and only one cylinder starts, maybe that switch may be broken, and causing the right cylinder to not start up.give it a shot you never know Quote
PUSH THE THROTTLE Posted April 9, 2005 Report Posted April 9, 2005 Tried disconnecting the tors? 352109[/snapback] That's my guess. Quote

KoooPSD Posted April 10, 2005 Author Report Posted April 10, 2005 I tore apart the carbs and claned them again realy good, i think the problem was the pilot jet was clean but the shoot that it screws into was alittle cloged....it runs fine now, no pop what so ever. Thanks Guys Quote
