on my 04 banshee which has little riding time, the right cylinder pops alittle. I just bought new plugs.....switched plug tops and its still on the right side. The old right side plug would not even fire anymore so i put a new one in and it fires...but it pops. With the choke on its fine. I just cleaned the carbs, and they are clean, tops are all on right, and the choke tube is connected, both idel screws are set the same, and the bike is sync'd as far as i know....any ideas?

PS. the bike is stock, even the air filter setup.

I had this problem with my 02 shee. its also stock with pro design foam filter and no snorkel. it would almost never smoke out of the right side pipe. when i would put it in gear and wind it up, it would pop on the right side. a plug test revealed it was lean. after checking air screws, reeds, coil, and putting different carbs on it, nothing worked. i ended up getting an extra left side slide and putting it in backwards in the right side. with the slot facing forward, it slows down the air, therefore it no longer runs lean. i've never heard of anyone doing this, but it worked for me. i saw another post where someone said a leaking cylinder head gasket might cause this, but i dunno.

When you pull the choke, it richens up your ckt, good indication of an airleak if the ckoke fixes the problem. If both sides did it I would just say you are lean, but this isn't the case. May want to do a leakdown test.

You know how when you put the e-brake on,then you go to start it and only one cylinder starts, maybe that switch may be broken, and causing the right cylinder to not start up.give it a shot you never know banghead

I tore apart the carbs and claned them again realy good, i think the problem was the pilot jet was clean but the shoot that it screws into was alittle cloged....it runs fine now, no pop what so ever. Thanks Guys
