ive never had a pipe blue. most ones ive seen blue are from people running their bikes too lean. my old t5s never blued and my rockets arent blued at all...

Jetting is the main reason any pipe blue's.You can buy a product called BlueJob that will remove the blueing.Most motorcycle shops carry it.

Spray white heat (manifold) paint inside. I read this somewhere and tried it last year with my CPI's and they still look new never blued at all.

lean jetting is the root cause. my pc's blued and gold-ed :confused: when i started jetting for them, about 6" or so from the motor. upped the mains and cured it. mothers polish seem to clean them up some, at least it took away some of the discoloration. but i like my 2 tone pc's now. :P

If you go to Toomey's web site in the FAQ sections it tells you that bluing in normal for thier pipes. I have the T6's and they are blue down by the bottom and I think that just looks super cool.

Just kidding, your jetting is what will take care of that.

 

How do I keep pipes from blueing? Ive seen alot of pipes do this is there anyway to prevent this?
