Tim C Posted April 3, 2005 Report Posted April 3, 2005 Spray white heat (manifold) paint inside. I read this somewhere and tried it last year with my CPI's and they still look new never blued at all. Quote
fixitrod Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 I've also heard about people straying ceramic paint in them to dissipate the heat. Quote
MILO Posted April 4, 2005 Report Posted April 4, 2005 (edited) bluejob - lol. lean jetting is the root cause. my pc's blued and gold-ed when i started jetting for them, about 6" or so from the motor. upped the mains and cured it. mothers polish seem to clean them up some, at least it took away some of the discoloration. but i like my 2 tone pc's now. BrianEb Posted April 29, 2005 Report Posted April 29, 2005 If you go to Toomey's web site in the FAQ sections it tells you that bluing in normal for thier pipes. I have the T6's and they are blue down by the bottom and I think that just looks super cool. Quote
XxMeltIcexX Posted April 29, 2005 Report Posted April 29, 2005 Yeah, just get your jettin right and u'll have no problem...i have never had any problems with my pipes blueing...Goodluck! Eric Quote
sandman121383 Posted May 5, 2005 Report Posted May 5, 2005 i sprayed some ceramic paint in my pipes. it was rated at like 1500 degrees or something crazy like that. hopefully my Shearers won't discolor. i have a few good rides on them and nothing yet Quote
ellison445 Posted May 5, 2005 Report Posted May 5, 2005 Dont put them on Just kidding, your jetting is what will take care of that. How do I keep pipes from blueing? Ive seen alot of pipes do this is there anyway to prevent this? 349142[/snapback] Quote
