But what do u think will be the best gear to start in 346521 2nd is best gear to start in cause it is one less shift you have to worry about and it will pull longer off the starting line. what size is your back tire? I used to run 14-41 with stock rear tires and just some fmf sst's and I liked it. starting in second Edited March 29, 2005 by 1800bigk Quote
Mod Banshee Posted March 29, 2005 Author Report Posted March 29, 2005 (edited) I have 20x11x9 Razr 2s I was going to try 15/38 Edited March 29, 2005 by Mod Banshee Quote
1800bigk Posted March 29, 2005 Report Posted March 29, 2005 15-38 is a lot of gear, you'll prolly have to start in first with that gearing. give it a shot, then mess with it if you dont like it. Quote
badcompany Posted March 29, 2005 Report Posted March 29, 2005 Get some prowedges and start in second, probaly need about a 14/44 or 13/41 to start in second with some pro wedges. Quote
Mod Banshee Posted March 29, 2005 Author Report Posted March 29, 2005 (edited) Were can I get a set of pro wedges. Now I am runing 15/41 Edited March 29, 2005 by Mod Banshee Quote
Mod Banshee Posted March 29, 2005 Author Report Posted March 29, 2005 (edited) And I also trail ride and drag race with my buddys on the weekend. So I would like gearing I could use for Trail riding and Drag Racing in Long Distance and 300ft. Who makes Pro Wedges? Edited March 29, 2005 by Mod Banshee Quote

badcompany Posted March 29, 2005 Report Posted March 29, 2005 Ohtsu makes the prowedge, you can get them from chapparal. the 13/41 would be good, but might not be good for trailriding with some smaller tires. It would give good acceleration though, its also up to personal preference. I know from my experience, first gear is almost useless in most banshees ive ridden. Even in our heavy modded banshee geared for 1/8 mile i have to shift to second almost immediatly. In dirt drags, unless u got an override and you are hooking up real hard, 1st gear is totally useless. Everything aside, if you really want some improved times at the track, get some pro wedges over them razrs. If you must leave in first to make trail riding better, go with as much gear as your motor will pull in first so it doesnt make 1st gear totally useless. Quote
Mod Banshee Posted March 29, 2005 Author Report Posted March 29, 2005 (edited) I only see the Pro wedges 2. how are the tires that says for show? Edited March 29, 2005 by Mod Banshee Quote
badcompany Posted March 29, 2005 Report Posted March 29, 2005 I only see the Pro wedges 2. how are the tires that says for show? 346581 thats them. Some people use 4-snows, i have never used them but i swear by the PW2s. Quote
Mod Banshee Posted March 29, 2005 Author Report Posted March 29, 2005 I think I will stay with the razr 2s but I will cut out every other Row. And I will have to play with my gearing. Quote
