it looks like just about every other swingarm available today. there is plenty of strength in the carrier area. my swingarms have less material in that area than that one does and i do some major jumping with mine of the terraces at our hillclimbs and never broken shit. tell your dad to check out HQ and PS and see what kind of swingers everyone runs. roundhouse is the way to go.

It's not your typical swinger built for motorcross. Really depends on what you do and what kind of strength you need. Average rider it would probably last a lifetime. :shrugani: Heres your typical MX style swinger, I'm sure you can see the difference.

i pretty much thought it would hold up just wanted to ask and see if anyone had any thing negative to say about that design

would the shock have to be shorter is the next question

Your stock shock will work. I just put on a new +4 swinger and mine works good.

Here's a pic of mine. I got it from TDub racing. His name is Tony Walker and he does great work. I love mine.

You can get the stock swingarm modified anywhere from -2 to +6 from lots of places for around $150. All the mods are between the shock mount and the axle carrier. The Honda style circular axle carrier is easier to adjust the chain but I dont think it is worth all the extra bread. The modified stock SW can have an adjustment range of over 2 inches by extending length of slot for lower adjustment bolt. You also dont have to replace SA bearings and seals or get new carrier bearings and seals like you will need with the Honda type.
