I always wanted one ever since I saw and heard them and now I can finally get one. Anyways, I will more than likely buy a used one with a couple mods like pipes, silencers, etc that has not been beat and is in pretty much good shape. Do you think it will be hard to find a modded, non beat Banshee that is pretty much "like new?" Also, how much should I expect to pay for a Banshee from the year 2001 or newer that is like new with a couple mods? Somewhere around $3,500? Anyways, the type of riding that I will be doing will be some trails, mainly open trails that you can go fast on most of the time, depending on how busy that they are. I also like to hill climb a lot and jump. I will be going to MX tracks every so often as well. I also like to wheelie, how does a Banshee wheelie? As far as maintance, what do I have to do to it? Anything I should watch for? Also, if I do the riding that I mentioned above, about how often do you think I have to rebuild it? I always hear people saying that Banshee's are so un-reliable and blow up left and right. This is what is pretty much keeping me from buying one, is this true? Also, how is the power on it compared to a Z-400, Raptor, and Predator I will be modding it out as well like pipes, silencers, bumper, nerfs, +2 a-arms, +4 axle, YFZ450 shocks, etc. Thanks for the help. When it comes time all you have to do is bore it and get a piston kit. No valves to adjust, and all the other shit that a thumper has. Doing a top end rebuild would probly cost less becuase of this as well. Shees have a bad rep about blowing up because people dont know how to take care of it... jet it wrong or whatever. Just make sure you check the compression before you buy it... should be about 115-125 per side, much lower than that and you will need a new top end. Take care of it and it will take care of you, just keep it jetted properly, and the oil changed, and dont look back (unless you want to see how far ahead you are of the 4 strokes) Quote

Get them to line up next to you for a drag race. 2. Pin the throttle and shift gears. 3. At end of track shut the bike off, take off helmet. (By the time you get it off, the other bikes should just about catching up to you.) 4. Lean over and ask them what they think about your bike. Here is what you will find out..... they probably got a bad start, or maybe missed a shift, blah blah blah, offer them a rematch. If the rematch is accepted, repeat steps 1-4 until you have thoroughly proved to them that a banshee will hand their four-strokin' asses a whoopin' any time they want. Quote

It will be handy to have once I get a Banshee. Also, how would I be able to tell if the jetting is right? Just look at the plugs I guess? Quote

I recommend getting a decent one though so you can actually trust it, so Walmart is not the best choice just a last resort. Quote

Banshee~ Posted March 24, 2005 Report Posted March 24, 2005 Yea the banshee does good in trails, hillclimbing....its ok on jumping, it takes hours of pratice to wheelie the banshee for along ways.Ive had mine for over a year and I can wheelie for about 30ft only Quote

I play in the mud, water ,sand, ice, snow, hills, jumps and whatever else winds up in front of me..You learn the technique required to operate through the nasty stuff as the time comes. I have learn not to follow the muddy ruts left behind by the monster Utilities I criss cross the rut pulling wheelis and I make it throough.. They don't have reverse, but you really don't need it, my shee can turn a U- turn on any trail that is wide enough for the wheels to fit on.... JUST BUY IT!!! or go with something else... Quote
