Well, I am looking for a YFZ around Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virgina, lower New York, and maybe New Jersey? Would like the seller to be able to meet me halfway if it is a far distance away from me. I would like to the YFZ to be a good price and all stock so it will cost less money, don't have a ton to spend on a decked out one. It doesnt matter if it needs work done to it as long as the price is right. But, I would really like to get a mint stock 04 YFZ for a fairly cheap price. Well, as far as riding one, I'm going to go find on that is for sale locally and ride it and see how I like it. I am pretty sure I will like it though. I had 2 stroke twin cylinders snowmobiles before and loved them.

Where would I find a compression tester at though? I looked on several sites already and found nothing.

How would I check the compression? I don't have the tool to do that. How much does that tool even cost? It will be handy to have once I get a Banshee. Also, how would I be able to tell if the jetting is right? Just look at the plugs I guess?

How far are you from PA? Seems to be a good deal. Probably too far though.

Well, I am going to be buying a new quad soon and I am pretty sure I wanted a Banshee. I always wanted one ever since I saw and heard them and now I can finally get one. Anyways, I will more than likely buy a used one with a couple mods like pipes, silencers, etc that has not been beat and is in pretty much good shape. Do you think it will be hard to find a modded, non beat Banshee that is pretty much "like new?" Also, how much should I expect to pay for a Banshee from the year 2001 or newer that is like new with a couple mods? Somewhere around $3,500? Anyways, the type of riding that I will be doing will be some trails, mainly open trails that you can go fast on most of the time, depending on how busy that they are. I also like to hill climb a lot and jump. I will be going to MX tracks every so often as well. I also like to wheelie, how does a Banshee wheelie? As far as maintance, what do I have to do to it? Anything I should watch for? Also, if I do the riding that I mentioned above, about how often do you think I have to rebuild it? I always hear people saying that Banshee's are so un-reliable and blow up left and right. This is what is pretty much keeping me from buying one, is this true? Also, how is the power on it compared to a Z-400, Raptor, and Predator I will be modding it out as well like pipes, silencers, bumper, nerfs, +2 a-arms, +4 axle, YFZ450 shocks, etc. Thanks for the help. P.S : I am moving up from a modded 400EX bored out to a 416.

That's true. I've been thinking about buying a used low hour '03 Banshee off this one guy that has barely rode it and then mod it out slowly when the money comes in. I think it would probably be better to buy one like this, that way I know that he never abused it, etc. Plus, in the pics, it looks like brand new. Do you think $3,800 is a good deal on a 2003 Black/Red Banshee? It is still in like new condition and he just took recent pics of it and it was dirty, but the plastics were still shining like the day it was new. Also, I have a chance to get a good deal on a Raptor, too. What do you think is better, a Raptor or a Banshee? I have always wanted a Banshee ever since I saw one, so I think I will probably get one. I dont really like the high center of gravity that the Raptor has. But, what do you think would be better for me a Raptor or a Banshee? I will do some trail riding (mainly open trails where I can open it up at), hill climbs, some MX, etc.

I am either going to buy a complete running Banshee or either a rolling chasis Banshee and modify it the way I want it. What way do you think will be cheaper? All I really want done to the Banshee would be pipes, silenceres, air filters, nerfs, bumper, bars, grab bar, skids, and then eventurally Elkas, +2 a-arms, +4 a-arms and so-on. I was just thinking of donig the project so I can buy all of the aftermarket stuff at once. What way do you think will be better or cheaper and why? Also, how much do you think it will cost for a Banshee frame, rear shock, engine, wiring harness, radiator, and gas tank?

Anybody? No replies yet? Doesn't have to be a MX Banshee. I would like one with atleast pipes, silencers, air filters, nerfs, bars, bumper, and maybe full skids, and a grab bar. Let me know if you have anything. Ill consider any kind of Banshee really, just would like it to be piped already.

Im not looking for parts, Im looking for complete quads that need work done to them or that goy repo'd.

I am wondering if anybody knows of any kind of ATV Salvage Yard or Repo Lot. If anybody knows of an ATV salvage yard or a repo lot somewhere around PA, Ohio, West Virginia, etc. let me know and post a link to it if you have one. Also, post links if theres other ones that are further away then the locations I mentioned, I wouldnt mind getting it shipped if it was a good deal.

Im going to be racing MX a lot too as well as some trails and hill climbs, mostly at MX tracks practicing/racing though. Ill be at MX tracks every Tuesday, Thrusday, Saturday, and Sunday. Then Ill trail ride in between.

Ok, well I finally went to the dealer today and checked it out. Wow, that thing is clean and spotless. All the alluminum stuff was polished on it to look like chrome. They said that they wanted $4,500 for it but would take $4,00 for it. Mods that I know of : wave rotors, prm swingarm, durablue axle, +2 leager a-arms, Works shocks with rezzies and springs PCed black, AC pro peg nerf bars, AC stadium front bumper, numberplates, carbon fiber hood and gas tank cover, Maier plastics, Renthal bars, pro deisgn cool head, boost bottle, Toomey T-5 pipes/silencers, K+N airfilter with outerwear and proflow kit, terry throttle and cable, shorty clutch/brake levers, and more that I dont know of really. I think I am going to go for it, what do you think?

I dont like how all the bids got retracted and its at $1,025 right now. Definately a scam.
