compose2 Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 actually i have a couple questions. the first one is how should i go about a whoop section. they are pretty deep whoops and spread out too far to ride on top of. second question is i just ordered works triple rate front shocks valved for aggressive mx, how big of a jump should these shocks be able to handle. bansheefreestyler Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 for whoops if there deep and too wide to ride across just try and double em or triple em and stay more to the back of the quad. hope that helps Quote
tithead Posted March 17, 2005 Report Posted March 17, 2005 Pin it to win it.... 340496 either that or you can do what tyler has in his sig..... "ride wide fuckin` open!" Quote
sredish Posted March 18, 2005 Report Posted March 18, 2005 only way is to double or triple em like freestyler said. You'll have to try it several times and get the speed and rythym down... hence the name "rythym section".... Good luck. Whoops sections are the most fun..... it's all about the timing. Quote
Wassup350 Posted March 18, 2005 Report Posted March 18, 2005 Suspension adjusment is very important. If you are riding on a track with tight whoops then you will probably have to ride over them. You will want your rebound pretty fast for this (allows your swingarm to go back down fast.) This way your tires go back down, so that when you hit the next bump you will have some suspension travel so you dont go flying. It also helps to ride way back on the seat. An other strategy is to try finding a way around them, some tracks are fairly wide and you can work your way around the whooops which will allow you to go a lot faster. Quote
txboozehound Posted March 18, 2005 Report Posted March 18, 2005 Race Flattrack...no whoops....no problems Quote
Brian060 Posted March 19, 2005 Report Posted March 19, 2005 Pin it to win it.... 340496 HELL Yeah!!!!! Whoops ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
bansheeryder_69 Posted April 2, 2005 Report Posted April 2, 2005 Find a rythm that your comfortable with. Like: double single double; or double double ; etc. Try to stay at the back of the bike. Just experiment with different ways. Don't know why but banshees feel awesome in the whoops compared to the newer stuff just keep your ass end down Quote
tats4life Posted April 2, 2005 Report Posted April 2, 2005 pratice, pratice.......most whoops i ride...i usually double in and triple out or triple the section.....if you got the room and the face is good...launch the whole section...and suspension set up is a must. Quote
buddha440ex Posted April 5, 2005 Report Posted April 5, 2005 "If You Case It,Learn To Pace It" good luck man...just keep your weight to the back and just try to double em up...its not as easy as said b/c if you mess up on one lol its hard to get ur rhythym back till next lap...good luck though.. racer Posted April 5, 2005 Report Posted April 5, 2005 i try to think of them less as whoops, and more as a rythm section. double double double..................... Quote
