whats the advantage of having stiff clutch springs?

and has anyone ever used like 3 stiff springs and 3 stock springs to make the clutch a little easier to pull?

hope this isn't a dumb question

the advantage is less slipping, and yes people run some stiff and some reg. just make sure there every other one or something so as to not put more pressure on one side than the other

yes it helps your clutch out alot and 3 on 3 trick makes it so you can pull the damn lever back ,its stiffer than a wedding dick with all 6 heavy duty i think anyway

Not a dumb question at all. I run 1/2 and 1/2 Toomey and factory. Just set it up as soft as possible with no slippage. Some guys run all stock springs on performance clutches; works real good with a lighly built engine.

i think i may switch to 3 stock springs then cause my clutch has always been a pita to pull back, even with the msr lever.

by the looks of my mods (in my sig) are stiff springs nessecary for me?

3on 3 clutch springs can be run much higher and lower hp than you have . i think it will work great for you versus all 6 stiffys .youll be fine :bolt:
