when i told them i was going to post this for on the net, which would turn some but not all potental customers away and it turn hurt there income. he said he wasen't worried about it.

see, if the dealer does you right, you would go out of your way to keep going out there, Reno's is not the closest dealer. but i would have made the drive back out there to return the favor. warrenty repairs alone bring in tons of money for dealers. and the mark up on gear and after market parts. they should be selling the bikes cheap and fast but still make money on them. and make money on the other stuff they sell. because i know all the companys who have done me right have gotten tons more buisness from me, just ask mark at bto. i have placed a couple orders with him for over 1500, when i am going to call him, i ask all my buddys if they need any thing cause mark cuts me deals and i bring him customers

you might enjoy driving up 6 hours in one day just to come home empty handed but i have better things to do than sit in my truck for no reason... you know like play PS2 AND OTHER CHILDISH THINGS LIKE THAT

when you start talking about money and time.... the kids gloves come off

LOL, that's why you call them first and make sure they have the quad on their floor. If they don't, you don't go....if they do, you get in your little truck and go get it. You're blowing this out of proportion here....I mean, it's understandable to get a little upset, but come on now....If I am understanding your post right, the whole reason you're upset is because this dealership quoted you a price over the phone, and when you got there, they said it was gonna be more. Right? This is the dealership that is an hour away, not 3 hours, right? And because you weren't gonna get the 450 for the price they quoted over the phone you want to go cracking skulls? Have you ever been told over the phone that a part was in stock and when you get there it's not? Do you go cracking skulls then too? :shootself:

You failed to mention how much they originally quoted you and what they re-quoted you for the cost of the 450....Is a couple hundred bucks "I assume" (especially in comparison to 6500 overall) gonna keep you from buying a YFZ 450 or make you drive 3 hours away to get one from another dealership just because the other one quoted you wrong? All the dealerships in Memphis are total BS, but does that stop me from buying from them, or make me drive 3 hours away to get the part I need cause I don't like them? NO, I need the part, I buy it...I don't get on the HQ and say "go visit their website and talk shit about them because they quoted me the wrong price", or talk about cracking skulls because they want more for it than originally stated....That's just retarded

You have got some issues man :rotflmao:

It doesn't matter if he drove 5 minutes or 3 hours. If somebody quotes you a price and then raises in when you get there that is unethical. Businesses live and die by word of mouth and it sounds like these guys should be gone.

I would much rather go out of my way to buy from somebody that is honest and doesn't BS me. If they are messing with you before the sale just imagine how bad it would be once they have your money.

I have gotten an out the door price on a brand new Ford Ranger, over the internet.  They had to trade with a dealer 100 miles away for the truck I wanted.  They did it all and the price never changed, I wanted a tonneu cover and they paid some shop to paint it and install it.  As for these assholes, go directly to the big boss man, and talk to him.  Tell him his is an unethical guy and he is running a worthless company.  As for leaving him an email, I simply would do it because he screwed one of my "friends" here on the hq.  So for anyone who doesn't care about this situation, I hope you forget about this thread, and shop there so you learn for yourself.  This is to let people know to be careful, and I am greatful that I won't make the mistake myself.

now that is what the fuck i am talking about, thank you chris.

i am not the type to start shit for no reason. i even was going to pay more so i could pick it up right then that day. and the reasons for these forums is to help out your fellow atv riders, not only with tech questions and shit that has to do with your bike. it is also to save each other money "and god knows this sport is not cheap" but also to alert each other to scames and shady places. banghead

i am pissed, and it is because i talked to them like 5 times on the phone and every time i told them over and over if i didn't have an out the door price i wasn't making the trip. then the guy told me he would call me back so he could take the price which we haggled about to his boss and get the okay, then he callled back and said come on down. and even on that call i ask several time, is this out the door. and he said yes. and when i got there they treated me like shit.

and as for parts, if they fuck up and send me across town, no cracking of skulls, but a discount for sure.

i am starting to think you work there

I spoke to warrensburg cylce a couple months ago about an 04 they had left. 6000 out the door. I didnt want to take out a loan so i didn't buy it. Better deals can be had. Check down in bartlesville, OK. heard great things about a dealer down there. If you can haggle a dealer, show em you got the money, they will usually work with you. I also talked to a dealer in topeka when the 450's first came out. He was selling the for 500 OVER what the retail price was. If i bought 2, and paid cash, he would take 100 bucks a piece off :yank:

dealers are shady sometimes. I have dealt with warrensburg before, good people IMO

the dealer who gave me the run around yesterday is the one with one in stock.. and if warrensburg called them today and asked for a white yfz, i know nothing of it cause they are getting a shipment and mine is on that truck. if they really called i don't know. but if they didn't then that makes reno's look even worse, trying to scare me into buying from them for fear they hold all the cards, or bikes in this case

and as for an  out the door price... over the phone..... i will tell you all about it thursday,,,, well, maybe friday,,, you know how it is when you get a new bike,,,

ahhh, gotcha. yeah, i know how that goes. i just tryed to buy a new truck last monday and got the run around real bad. so i found a bigger better cheaper one at another dealer. :cheers:B)

That whole story seems kinda flakey to me... First off, why would the second dealer you went to call the first dealer for a quad that they already have sold on Thursday? Secondly, do you think a dealer really cares about who buys the quad? They are only concerned about the money...and thirdly, why should we go on their site and write bad stuff about them when YOU are the one having issues? That's pretty childish!  :shootself:

I found my banshee at fayetteville and didnt want to deal with them because they are a bunch of crooks, so i went to siloam and asked them if they could get it from fayetteville and the salesman at siloam asked if i had talked to anyone about it overthere because they wouldnt let siloam have it for the exact same reason that pimpinkc has, dealers will pay the same price to each other that they would from the factory that is why reno doesnt want to sell to the other dealer they will make money by having it there when it sells.

sorry for the late reply...... went to Warrensburg..... got the bike....6400 out the door..... no hassles, no renegotiation, no problems.. they even spent some time with my buddy trying to help him with his carb problem and even told him to call if he needed more help, and guess what, no charge!!!!,. got to love that. this is a good ole boy dealership and I would recommend them to every one. as for Reno's, well I hope there will be one less phone number in the phone book real soon.. hope this has saved some of you the trouble of having to find out about Reno's shady side on your own.

Hi Pimpeinkc:

I believe you are referring to:

Reno's Yamaha Aprilia, KC

13611 Holmes Rd.

Kansas City, MO 64145

Their Better Business Bureau (BBB) reliability report is available by clicking here .

In the future I suggest you take a minute and review the company's BBB reliability report before even talking to them. Everyone should.

Right now, one possible recourse is to file an official BBB complaint. It looks like the last guy who did this got his problem resolved.

Whether they give you satisfaction or not it will be on their record for two years. Since they have been a member for less than three years and already have one complaint yours will carry a lot of weight.

Good luck!
