kenr74 Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Is anybody running the YFZ shocks on aftermarket arms? I'm thinking about buying some arms but want to see how the bike sits with the YFZ shocks. Lets see some pics. Quote
squish Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 To get the ride height the shocks are too soft. They are great at first but you over work the shock and it heats up fast and it fades. I dont recomend them for anything else then simple trail riding. The shock mount needs to be placed out further toward the wheel like the yfz. You get alot more travel with the 450 shock because it is longer but in that position a longer shock is overworked and needs heaver springs. Quote
kenr74 Posted February 24, 2005 Author Report Posted February 24, 2005 I ride almost all sand so I think they would be alright for how I would use them. Nobody actually has them mounted up? Quote
NYCBanshee7 Posted February 25, 2005 Report Posted February 25, 2005 Well i just got them with my +2+1 a-arms but havent gotten a chance to try it out yet. Some people love the shocks, others dont like them as much. I bet they are far far better than stock and for $200 on ebay, its definatley worth it. Quote
njbanshee Posted February 26, 2005 Report Posted February 26, 2005 Check out my gallery. I have about 4 pics on there, and will try to post more soon. I still need to take some of the preload out i think. Quote

decon Posted March 12, 2005 Report Posted March 12, 2005 These are full flight +2+1 a-arms. 331284 TBH they look like stock arms Quote
J-Madd Posted March 12, 2005 Report Posted March 12, 2005 (edited) I have them mounteted on Armadillo +2 A-arms and I love 'em. It sits up higher in the front, though. It wheelies a lot easier.........that can be good or bad. Handling is a lot better. I haven't hit any big jumps yet. Edited March 12, 2005 by J-Madd Quote
locogato11283 Posted March 12, 2005 Report Posted March 12, 2005 TBH they look like stock arms 337816 look like aftermarket to me. i dont think stock has adjustable balljoints to adjust camber. Quote
