That was a interesting site.I asked about the tranny cutting because I have to replace some worn gears.it's popping between gears.I'm just going to replace the worn gears.the only bad thing I heard was...you need to use the clutch a hair to shift and have to make sure your all the way in gear.Which is not a big deal...anyways it also sounds pretty $$$$.....

I got it done on mine, but i haven't gotten my motor back yet.If you know someone who has access to an EDM ,it probably wouldn't cost you much.I'm thinking it was $175 to have it done from Patriot Racing, but i'm not positive.

Why would you have to use the clutch a hair? and what would make any difference in being fully or partially engaged with this mod? How do you make sure your fully in gear? As for beiing expensive? I did mine just like on that site and had a local machine shop chop them for me.. Only cost me a case of beer

Hands down its been one of the best mods, espcially if your heavily modded

If my undersut you mean every other drive dog on the gear cut...I have had it done. It works real well, the gears engange alot more reliably, expecially under throttle

I did that to my RZ tranny but haven't gotten to try it out yet (still waiting on a crank)...did it with a pnuematic die grinder and a straight burr, you might give that a shot before taking it to a machine shop...
