BigDix21 Posted February 20, 2005 Report Posted February 20, 2005 I'm not for sure which pipe to buy for my banshee. I have a 4mm stroker crank with 68mm big bore cylinders and I'm going to race Flat track this year. I'll need more top end then bottom end but I would still like to have good pull throughout. Which pipe would you recommend? Thanks for any info! Quote
bansheecaptain Posted February 20, 2005 Report Posted February 20, 2005 i can remember but i think it's in general form they have a dyno of rockets vs cpi and the rockets killed cpi ...dont get me wrong cpi are great too.. Quote
locogato11283 Posted February 20, 2005 Report Posted February 20, 2005 it was my setup where the rockets outpulled the cpi from bottom all the way up. this was on a 4mm. rockets pulled 3 more hp and 3 more ft lbs of torque. the biggest difference is where the cpis stopped pulling the rockets kept on going.. rocketboy Posted February 20, 2005 Report Posted February 20, 2005 never rode cpi ,but i own rockets and they pull hard like a mutha fuck# on top Quote
duner Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 Today was my first dune trip with my CPIs.I LOVE them!Pulls hard from bottom to top!I doubt you will be dissapointed with either. If you buy the Rockets though,I'll hook you up with a nice set of exhuast clamps! Quote
MudDuck Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 Would either one of those pipes be overkill for a stock Banshee? I do mostly trail and some dune riding. Quote

But i dont want to put them on and have a turd cause they moved the power band up so high. Quote
Skyy Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 (edited) So I take it that the rockets are more for top speed than torque ?? would t5 be better for dirt tracks?? Edited February 22, 2005 by Skyy Quote
trialsallday Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 I got rockets, and my bike is nothing like it was stock. I did jetting filter and lid, and advanced timing plate, and vforce reeds, and rockets ofcoarse, and it really moves in my opinion. i dont have any big bores or porting yet but someday i will............. locogato11283 Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 rockets will def come on later than almost any other pipe. if you want low end go with pt mids or even t5s have more bottom end that rockets. if you wanna upgrade later go with rockets, you will def not have a turd even if the engine is stock. 03bansheeLE Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 Rockets look and sound sweet, i cant wait till i get mine. do you have to shave a bit off front fenders with cpi's too cause i know you have to with rockets. P.S. locogato, your fullbore banshee with the rockets is sweet, i got the video. Quote
locogato11283 Posted February 24, 2005 Report Posted February 24, 2005 P.S. locogato, your fullbore banshee with the rockets is sweet, i got the video. 328768[/snapback] hell yea! thanks man Quote
