I am planning on powder coating my frame in a month er so, and since my bike is a 2000 I figured its time to replace the bearings through out the bike. but I am not sure how much this will cost me to replace all the bearings? and do you think that I will need to replace them all? Also, the price I got quoted was $175 and they will do all the prepwork.

Thank you

I'm no expert or anything so take my advice with a grain of salt, but I'd say don' t replace anything that isn't showing signs of wear. Look for any rouphness or slop in them and if they have none then don't waste your money on new ones. I run all mine to fail and have had great luck with that.

Are you just PCing the frame or other parts like swingarm and carrier?

I would deff replace the steering stem bearing. You will probably have to remove it before coating anyway so plan on replacing it. The stock A arms can't be PC'd. The swingarm can be PC'd and I would plan on replacing the pivot bearings and installing a grease fitting so you will never have to replace the pivot bearings again. The factory carrier can be PC'd and you may not have to replace the bearings but you will most likely have to remove them. So check on them as they are removed. That's pretty much all of what I can think of right now. I can get you some of the bearings you need but it's probably best to figure out which ones you want to get. My email is... [email protected]

Thank you for the quick reply's. I will just check to see what is worn then replace those. I'll contact about those Holyman. Also you said install a grease fitting, where would be the best place to put it? any pics f one installed? and is it just as easy as drilling a hole then tapping it and installing the fitting?

thank you
