I am getting a +4 swingarm and was wondering what length of chain I will need for it. I will be running my stock gears on it or show I replace them with some new ones? Any brand better than the other for chains and sprockets? Where is the best place to order this for the price and speedy delivery?

Let me ask you this, how does everyone who has a +4 swingarm enjoy them compared to a stock swingarm? I mostly do my riding at the dunes and some on the trails.

The +4 is excellent for dune riding and I would never go back to stock length. Always replace your sprockets anytime you replace the chain or you will wear the chain out prematurely. I recommend the DID X-ring atv chain which can be purchased through rockymountainatv-mc.com. Buy the 120 link chain and you will be set. Takes around 114 or so links so you will have to remove a few. As for sprockets, I like the sidewinders.

I just used my bench grinder to grind the pins flat, and then used a punch to drive it out the other side. Carefully measure first, I thought I made it too short at first, but it was perfect  Just make sure you take off the right link, and look how that master link is suppose to fit. The chain will stretch alot after you run it the first time, you'll have to readjust the carrier one more time.

What type of chain breaker do I need to get then?  Do I need to get a chain press also for the master link?

I bought the motion pro chain breaker. I think their around 15 dollars.

I got the chain breaker on it's way. I think that I will try running my stock chain and sprockets and take a couple of links from my other stock chain and see how it runs.

I think that I will eventually buy a chain/sprocket kit from Magicracing. They seem to be the only ones that have a decent complete kit for a good price. Does anyone know of any other places besides magicracing and rocky mnt atv?
