I'm thinking about adding a new clutch basket to my shee since the stocker is getting pretty worn.

I'm caught between the Performance Engineering one for $139

and the Barnett with Stainless inserts for best I could find $250

Is the Barnett worth the money? I could almost buy 2 of the PE ones for the price of the Barnett. Thoughts?

Anybody know a better place to get the Barnett that has them in stock?

What about the Hinson? I've heard the Barnett was a little heavier. May be a good thing but what about performance? Anyone else heard this? I know the barnett looks killer, would just hate one of those SS plates coming loose.

I've got the barnett and it ain't very heavy. Its maybe 1/2 ounce more than stock. Granted this is rotating mass but I figure my lightened flywheel more than makes up for it. Unfortunately its still too soon to tell how it's holding up. But it does have one weekend on it and no grenading.

The Hinson lies between these two prices where I figure might as well get the cheaper one and save money or get the more expensive one and so I get the inserts? I just don't know. I guess I'll get everything else ordered and see how much I feel like paying in the end.

I will go with the Hinson next time.I bought the Performance Engineering basket. After summer it was starting to groove out.Doesn't seem to be much harder than stock.Spend the extra $ for the Hinson!

Give Dan @ Patriot Racing a call/email. He is making his own clutch baskets and they look killer. He says that they are holding up better than Barnetts. I think he said that they are going for around $175 for them.

i have a hinson basket also

my advice it now they are coming out with pressure plates that have a bearing in them to get rid of the rod and ball or something like that. the plates work with only certain baskets.

dont know exactly what ones they are, passionre is checking this out for me. i hope hinsons will work cause i smoked my ball and rod last saturday.
