SDD Posted February 12, 2005 Report Posted February 12, 2005 Jim do you care to share your exhaust duration numbers? I know what the cubs spec out to. I forget what all the port timing numbers are but they are very simular to the regular Cheetah cylinders if you have ever had a chance to work on them. I do know that from CPI the cylinders are pretty much equal to a dune port timing wise. Quote
23champ Posted February 12, 2005 Report Posted February 12, 2005 what is the x-3 and is it a bolt on or do I have to send my cases for trenching and what not? does it run on alky? 321902[/snapback] X-3 is a drag race ONLY port job on stock cylinders. Avalible only through Passion Racing. 100+hp, Very fast and very unreliable. X-1 is stock stroke crank - X-3 is +4mm stroke. A very Wicked motor to my understanding! Quote

Does it break down alot? does it run on race gas or alky? Quote
bkabina Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 You can have the X-3 set up for gas or alky.As for being unreliable I wouldn't say it's unreliable from what Jim said before there is just alot more maintenance involved. Quote
wesw Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 i saw those bitch, man they look mean, big ports. some one need to run them to see what they will do. Quote

In my book, anything that will only last about 15 passes down a drag strip before it needs new rings is pretty unreliable. JMHO. Don't get me wrong, If thats what you're looking for It would be an excellent motor, it makes a ton of power. Just to much down time for me. Quote
1800bigk Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 wow, 15 passes, so you get about 1 1/2 miniutes of balls out riding time, then change the rings. How much power does it make and why do the rings wear so quickly. Quote
23champ Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 Suppose to make around 120hp at the wheels. If I where you I'd just call Jim at passion racing. He will give you whatever you want. I got a 4mm 12port drag style port on mine, they should be back by next weekend Quote
PassionRE Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 Wes, you saw the X-1(350 version) drag motor proto-type. X-3 is simular but much more power...final version will have around 120 crankshaft horsepower...Jim Quote
wesw Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 my bad, but still they looked mean. Quote
bkabina Posted February 14, 2005 Report Posted February 14, 2005 We'll see how the X-3 runs soon. Quote
