01bansheefox Posted February 9, 2005 Report Posted February 9, 2005 My stock a-arms will not come out of my spindles..... tried hitting with a hammer but dont want to damage anything 2 much. And yes i removed the nuts Quote
Holyman Posted February 9, 2005 Report Posted February 9, 2005 The best thing I've found is to use a good heavy hammer and hit on the side of the part of the spindle where the ball joint bolt goes thru the spindle while pulling on the A arm. Usually a couple solid whacks and it's off. Quote
frocashmoney24 Posted February 9, 2005 Report Posted February 9, 2005 screw the nut backonto the end of the ball joints, so about 3/4 of the nut is on, then smack that fucker with a hammer, then you dont have to worry about stripping messing up the threads. Quote
bigboybanshee Posted February 9, 2005 Report Posted February 9, 2005 I just took my a arms off a couple weeks ago and a BFH is what I had to use. 3 good whacks and it was off! That didn't sound right Quote

You might even cry after you mushroom those threads. Quote
PUSH THE THROTTLE Posted February 9, 2005 Report Posted February 9, 2005 I use a dead blow hammer and tap the spindle a couple times while applying pressure to the arm as above pops right out. If you tap on the arms it Quote
