fixitrod Posted February 5, 2005 Report Posted February 5, 2005 You can get a lot of power from proper jetting. Quote
Tim C Posted February 5, 2005 Report Posted February 5, 2005 (edited) What is your elevation there? What do the plugs look like? Edited February 5, 2005 by Tim C Quote
itsaripper Posted February 6, 2005 Report Posted February 6, 2005 You do have something wrong. A stock banshee should be around 39 or 40 HP. When you put pipes and a K&N filter on you should gain about 7 to 10 depending on the pipes. Your gearing is way high. Is top end speed what you want? 22cc domes are just a little up from stock. You should go to 20cc domes and mix 92 oct with trick110. Then advance the timing by 4 degrees. Look at the spark plugs. If they are brown your good, if light brown to white you need more jet. Try going to a 310. good luck Quote
wesw Posted February 6, 2005 Report Posted February 6, 2005 put some 340 in and see how it runs Quote
FIRST BANSHEE Posted February 6, 2005 Report Posted February 6, 2005 MAKE SURE YOU INSTALLED YOUR DEGREE KEY THE PROPER WAY, AND YOUR ADVANCING YOUR TIMING AND NOT RETARDING IT. Quote
MeanHoTRoD_93883 Posted February 6, 2005 Author Report Posted February 6, 2005 landscape rises to a maximum elevation of 306 meters (1,004 feet) and the weasther in the summer is110- 120 degrees(F) FARANHEIT SHOULD I REMOVE MY DEGREEY KEY AND GET AN ADVANCED TIMING PLATE BEECUASE IN THE DEGREEE KEY I ONLY CAN PUT IT IN +3 Quote
Banchetta Posted February 7, 2005 Report Posted February 7, 2005 Don't worry about the dyno chart, that is just to compare mods, you can't compare numbers to others. I do my dynoing on a car dyno, I have 8 straps holding my quad in place w/ my shocks x'd out and tires half sqatted...so my numbers will be a lot lower then someone w/ an actual atv dyno...but anyways, what are you running for an air box setup? Filter? compression?? Do a wide open run in 6th gear for 5-10 seconds, shut it down, coast to a stop, pull the plugs, either take a pic of them or change them and bring the plugs home to get a pic of them and post them on here. We can tell where you at for the main jets...now you have some homework to do... Quote
