Leadfoot350 Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 use about 80 grit on the intake and transfers and just match up the sleeve to the cylinder. Polish the exhaust as shiny as you can get it. Quote
mat Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 The general theory is that you should only polish the exhaust ports. Any of the ports that the fuel/air mixture travels through should be slightly rough. This is so that the air is turbulent and keeps the fuel in suspension. Quote

SANDSTAR Posted February 5, 2005 Report Posted February 5, 2005 Don't polish the intakes. Go over them with a dremmel carbide cutter bit. It will give you the perfect finish in order to properly atomize the fuel into the air. If you got them off, get a sportport template and port those babys! Just be sure you got strong shoulders, cause it'll rip your arms out of their sockets after a good sportport! Quote
