broke Posted January 29, 2005 Report Posted January 29, 2005 I agree, mine was just slightly furthure forward, just about under the stator. If you look in the general area Wallrat and I mentioned, you can't miss it. Quote
racer Posted January 30, 2005 Report Posted January 30, 2005 Right under the left footpeg 314155[/snapback] werd, unless you have an '04 that you bought for 500 bucks. then you might not be able to find it. Quote
BigRed350x Posted January 30, 2005 Report Posted January 30, 2005 What do you do to get new papers for an ATV? I have one with no serial no. on the frame. I don't know if the frame was aftermarket or whatever. Can I just use a set of stamps and put a new serial on it and go down to the DMV and register it as a new vehicle? Quote
racer Posted January 30, 2005 Report Posted January 30, 2005 dude, you can easily tell if its an aftermarket frame. if it is, why worry about papers, just let the future buyer know. if its a factory frame, and you still have problems finding the VIN, then you have some serious issues. Quote
broke Posted January 30, 2005 Report Posted January 30, 2005 Factory replacement frames have no Vin. Quote
Wallrat Posted January 30, 2005 Report Posted January 30, 2005 No you can't just randomly pick out a VIN # and stamp it on there. Check with your local DMV or even the police station would probably know. I believe you're allowed to stamp your old frame's VIN but there's probably some paperwork to do as well as showing proof of purchase on the aftermarket frame. Quote
