Im-Loving-It 69 Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 (edited) Ok this is what happen i bought a new set of pipes after putting them on i went riding after riding for about 2 hr we came back to camp and got some thing to eat. then went back riding. after riding for about 20 min. my shee just died. wated a min. and tried to start it back up. it started and went riding agen. once agen it died then figered out i was lost spark. went home and found out that my wiring harnest had melted on my silincer. so i bought a new one put it on and still no spark. do you think i need a new CDI or COIL? ledofthezep Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 Your Clymers will tell you how to test the coil...dunno there's a way to test the CDI, but I'd buy a new coil before I bought a new CDI myself. Traced all the wiring yet? Quote

GYTWYPT Posted February 10, 2005 Report Posted February 10, 2005 I did the same thing when i tore my bike completly down to paint the frame. Put it back together and rode down the rode long enough to melt the wires. Long push back home about a mile. Anyway i just spliced the wires back together taped them up good and didnt have any problems since. Is it a brand new wiring harness? Check all the connections? Quote

lineybiker_11 Posted February 11, 2005 Report Posted February 11, 2005 i'm pretty sure its the two black wires and the two colored wires i think those are red and brown but i'm not sure. i just went through all my wiring the other day took out the tors, key, killswitch, and stock headlight. put in a tether and aftermarket lights and shes runnin like a champ Quote
