STLbanshee Posted January 23, 2005 Report Posted January 23, 2005 Im looking to get my jugs ported, not like a full race or drag port, just like a woods port, something i can play with still, so Im looking for a shop to port them, i mean I could send them to port magic, but they want 400 for the port, i mean thats a good price i guess, but does anyone else no a shop to send them too that wont cost me a arm and a leg, and still does a good port.. chris Quote
SICK BOY Posted January 23, 2005 Report Posted January 23, 2005 400 bones is a great price for both cylinders.Just remeber when you're looking for a cheaper port job you get what you pay for. Quote

1800bigk Posted January 23, 2005 Report Posted January 23, 2005 http://www.eric-gorr.com/services/porting.html $200 Quote
locogato11283 Posted January 23, 2005 Report Posted January 23, 2005 http://www.eric-gorr.com/services/porting.html $200 310592 beat me to it. gorr's woods port is nuts for the money. huuge gains in the low end and midrange. and if you are worried about topend dont be, with this porting you can pull high gearing. my brother easily pulled 16 and 17 tooth front sprockets at our dirt hillclimbs. i highly recommend this porting. call eric and talk to him. he will answer the phone and can answer any questions you might have. STLbanshee Posted January 23, 2005 Author Report Posted January 23, 2005 Im going to be running the vitos super stock pistions in this motor, so that should give me the top end, see I want some top end cause I still drag race a lot..so I want top end too..but I want a port, but I dont want just low and mid range I want top end too.. chris Quote
1800bigk Posted January 23, 2005 Report Posted January 23, 2005 (edited) For a good, worth while top end port job its going to cost a little more. I have a top end 12 port from passion racing but the porting alone cost 500. It has an average to below average midrange hit, but the top end pull is hard to describe with words. I drag alot too and I usually win. http://passionracingengines.com/Services.html or give Dan a call at A&S he can build sick engines. http://www.bansheeracing.com/ Edited January 23, 2005 by 1800bigk Quote
locogato11283 Posted January 23, 2005 Report Posted January 23, 2005 Thats 200.00 a cylinder right?? 310711 no man. thats for both cylinders. actually it might be 225 i cant remember. he did my cr500 cylinder for 125 bucks and it made a huuuge difference. you can send your cylinders out, and get them back for less than 300 bucks. hard to beat that shit. like i said, give eric a call, he will be more than happy to talk to you about it.
