BigDaddyK Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 I've pretty much decided on the Toomey T-5's. What finally got my decision was being able to buy them black and not chromed. Now I'm looking at the Toomey pipe kit on rockymountainatv.com and Kit includes pipes, silencers, jet kit and high flow air filter with air box vents. Jet Kit includes 2-270 and 2-280 jets with 2 needles, 2 C clips and 2 washers. My shee is an '03 and bone stock right now. Will I need those jets or should I keep the stock Air filter and get a K&N down the road and purchase jets seperately? I'm not to educated on banshees yet so I've been lurking and searching like crazy. Any help would be great. I hope to buy them by tomorrow and have them installed this weekend. ps was also looking at the fatties but wasn't sure about them and what all i needed. thx Quote
1sreamin350 Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 I used the jets (280) that the kit came with and they worked great. I recomend the kit. If you want to change stuff later on, just buy more jets, at that time. Quote
Wallrat Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 It really depends also on your elevation and temperature. But ya 270 and 280 is about where a piped shee is jetted for sea level and normal 70 - 90 degree temps. You're gonna need a bunch of jets no matter what though for temp changes and such so you might as well get the kit. Quote

I hope to buy them by tomorrow and have them installed this weekend. ps was also looking at the fatties but wasn't sure about them and what all i needed. thx 307800[/snapback] a budy of mine got the t5's and they came with the kit including needle and 280's i got the t6's with the kitcame with every thing hooked it up and ran great plug tested great those guys at toomey really now there shit my kit came with the uni filter the 2 in 1 i got rid of my air box completly the only drawback is dont go through water or u r screwed i use outer skins swap them out every day i ride and runs great my pipe set cost no more with the kit same price Quote
