I have just k&n pods on my shee and I was running 250's (that was in about 40 degrees) and that was almost too rich. A lot of people who run around 280's have pipes and a k&n. Do have any other mods? In WI with K&N filter in airbox with 8 - 1 in holes in airbox lid and no snorkel. Also have boysen reeds and old fmf fatties and .020 over with stock jugs. I run 210 on the main and I think the 3rd clip on the needle. Never had any problems and plugs are always perfect. Maybe my shee just likes to run lean. Quote

Make sure they are brown and not tan...You might be at a higher elevation where the air is thinner. That'll give you leaner jetting. Also make sure the K&N is cleaned w/ the K&N cleaner and not detergents, those will actually clog the K&N. Quote
r6rider04 Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 i'm running 380 mains mild port/polish, 4mm stroker, bored 30 over, reed spacers, k/n filter with toomey t5's and runs perfect, still breaking it though haven't done the WOT 6th gear test yet Quote
