chris642 Posted January 9, 2005 Report Posted January 9, 2005 ever since i got my bike ported, i noticed it burns gas MUCH faster. not that its a big suprise or anything. im thinking about getting an oversized gas tank. i dont want the kind that makes you remove the tank plastics. when i was bored, i was looking at used banshee's on ebay, i saw one with an oversized tank the actually streched under the seat, but it looked stock unless you saw close up pictures. i was wondering if this was just a custom piece, or if i could buy it somewhere. any input would be apreciated. richwuest Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 Perhaps it was a Clarke tank you saw http://www.clarkemfg.com/Merchant2/merchan...ory_Code=yamaha IMS also makes aftermarket oversize tanks, but the clarke looks a little more like stock. Quote

The 5+ gallon tanks are butt ugly, but have you seen the 4 gallon IMS tanks, they look pretty trick for replacing the tank plastic and it's way faster to have out. Just a thought. Compliments to chipdog for the nice bike... Quote
boonman Posted January 13, 2005 Report Posted January 13, 2005 I have an IMS oversize tank. It holds 6 gallons of fuel. I like it alot, and I had to cut my plastics. It doesn't look like factory, but I don't care, because the factory tank is a teaser in the fuel resorvoir department. Quote
J.J. Posted January 13, 2005 Report Posted January 13, 2005 Clarke tank fitted, you have to cut the plastics though.. Complements to PA Banshee at E2S.com on his hot looking shee. one more... Quote
89Steeda Posted January 14, 2005 Report Posted January 14, 2005 That underseat tank was custom built. Quote
