Brian060 Posted January 5, 2005 Report Posted January 5, 2005 Well guys, I've been hanging around this site for quite some time now and finally found a guy who wants to trade a stock 97 for my bike. COnsidering my bike has been raced, and his shee is absolutely mint, it seems like a fair trade. Im going to meed him in ashland, pa on saturday to check it out and ride all day !! Is there any specific area i should look at while examining or riding the bike? Does it hesitate when you hit the throttle or take off? Any info would be useful, thanks!! Quote
PolyKarbon Posted January 5, 2005 Report Posted January 5, 2005 If you could do a compression test, that might help. Check for bogging while your riding. I would check the sprockets and chain too. Also, before you ride, pop the airbox lid and check the air filter. If its dirty, it might give you an idea of how he takes care of his stuff. Hope this helps and good luck. Quote

Brian060 Posted January 5, 2005 Author Report Posted January 5, 2005 Its a 2004 crf250r. Personally, i would like a bit newer of a banshee, which i am sure i can find. I probably wont trade this kid since he refuses to include any cash. If anyone else has a good shee or 250r honda preferred(suzi, zilla, kawi also) let me know ASAP!!! I am willing to drive up to 5 hours from my house at long island NY!!! Quote

Rebuilding only helps for a couple rides. Holyman has a fix for it that everyone seems happy with. Welcome to the Banshee experience! Quote
