locogato11283 Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 i think you can do either, but of course powdercoating is gonna hold up better. i would go the PC route. Quote
RNBRAD Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 Just make sure it is done in a high temp powder. Quote

FlatTrackinIt55 Posted December 30, 2004 Report Posted December 30, 2004 ive heard that it can be bad to powdercoat the cylinders b/c it holds in heat and can cause trouble, anyone ever hear this?? Quote

SICK BOY Posted December 30, 2004 Report Posted December 30, 2004 I heard that as well.I also heard it wasn't good to polish your cylinders too,but alot of people have done it. Quote
00BANSHEE Posted December 30, 2004 Report Posted December 30, 2004 I had my cheetah cylinders powdercoated and they ran a little hotter according to my temp gage then other peoples cheetah cylinders were running. This could have been caused by numerous things but I believe the PC had something to do with it. Quote

Would be something to check into anyway... Quote
DIRTBIKEZ Posted December 30, 2004 Report Posted December 30, 2004 Anodizing retains heat as well, but most likely not be as much as PC. Quote
