Bigger carbs and jetting

I bought 30mm PWK's for my Banshee and am wondering if they will fit on my stock intake? Also, can anybody give me a good guess on what my jetting should be for these carbs running FMF Fatty pipes and Powecore II silencers with a mild port job and it's about 0-30 degrees out at about 1000 ft give or take above sea level.

Ballpark 175 mains, 42-45 pilot, needle 4th clip, this maybe 2 sizes too rich, but you can work down from there..

Alright, thanks. I'll be trying that out this week once I get my gaskets in.

as far as i know those wont fit stock intakes. if they are like the 33 and 35's they wont. at least i dont think they do, thats why i bought that boss intake right? my bro and me have 33s and 35s and hes at 165 main and me at 160. youll prolly end up down in the 160s but like banchetta said its good to start high and work down instead of blowing something up. as for the pilots 42-45 should be fine. thats what we run too. i think the 33 and 35mm carbs run very close jetting wise so maybe the 30s will too. we are also at 1000 ft. let us know how it works out.

Don't forget, he's at 0-30 degrees outside......165's maybe lean for that temp...

Thanks guys, is the 165 going to work for my temp? Or should I move up one or two more sizes? I got the gaskets today and will be trying the carbs out on the intake tomorrow (today I guess since it's 1 in the morning). I hope the carbs work on the stock intake, if they don't...can anyone recommend a place where I can order an bigger intake that has VERY quick shipping?? I need this back together by the 20th, and I rarely have time to work on it. Thanks for all the help.

Edit: I forgot to mention that I will most likely be running it with the airbox lid off for the better response and air flow, so how many more sizes will this bump me up?

I'd still start rich and work down. I'm guessing you'll be at a 170 when done. I got my intakes from another member, so I couldn't help you on where. I guess Jim at passion has them, duncanracing, but pricy, try magicracing.com

I got the Banshee back together and running, but it seems a little lean on the needle and gas is flowing out of the overflow. Do I need to adjust the float level or do they come already set? What do you recommend for the clip setting on the needle? I think it's right in the middle right now...which way is richer, moving the clip up or down? I can never remember that. The carbs came with jets but the highest main jet is 160 so I stuck that in there, seems to run good when the throttle is opened up.

there shouldnt be any gas comin out the over flows unless the needle and seat arent closing all the way. the float level should be already set. moving the needle up(clip down) will be richer and moving the needle down(clip up) will be leaner. you might just have to buy some jets. how do your plugs look? did you do a WOT test??

I didn't have enough time to do a plug test or anything of that kind because a friend of mine was hurrying me to bring his EX home (he doesn't have a truck). So I was only able to ride it around for a few feet seeing how it ran. It did seem to run good on the main jet but the needle felt like it was lean. I closed tonight so I didn't have any time to work on it, but tomorrow night I don't have to work so I'll be in the garage fine-tuning it.

Where would I be able to find jets for this carb?
