SANDSTAR Posted February 11, 2005 Report Posted February 11, 2005 Maybe put your old carbs back on and see if that fixes the prob. This will at least let you know if it is the carbs or your bike. Quote

I was working on the 'Shee over at a friend's house and he let someone else take my carbs for free...as you can probably guess it pissed me off pretty bad that he would give my own things away for free, but hopefully I should have them back tonight. Banchetta Posted February 11, 2005 Report Posted February 11, 2005 Have you read any of my posts? I started out at 175 and worked my way down to 150. And I must've forgotten to mention that I have went up on my pilot and it didn't help at all. Also, I don't think I have enough room to do a 6th gear WOT plug test because I can't get up there fast enough. 321119 If you don't do a plug test, then changing main jets is useless, your only guessing. You need to do a plug test...even if you have to drive a half an hour to do it, it only takes 5 seconds....If you find that jetting doesn't seem to change the symptons or find very little changes, then most likely you have an electrical problem...but you have to start somewhere and process of elimination. nosbanshee4u Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 Either that or sell the SOB. And buy somthing stock if working on shit pisses you off so bad. Quote
Flyin_Shee Posted February 18, 2005 Author Report Posted February 18, 2005 Either that or sell the SOB. And buy somthing stock if working on shit pisses you off so bad. 323594 If I sold it right now in the condition that it's in, it wouldn't go for more than $1000 . Working on shit doesn't piss me off, it's just that when I have gone through everything and nothing changes...plus the fact that there's two to everything, gets tedious after awhile. Well, just an hour ago I put the stock carbs back on and took it out for a ride. Now the problem is exactly reversed. Doesn't too well on low-mid (like it's almost flooding out) and then it screams on top end, I mean it really pulls like a mother f'er. Guess tomorrow I can mess around with the jetting and see if that's the real problem this time with the stock carbs, considering I did have it ported and I still running no airbox, but I plan on putting it back on.
