well ive been trying to get my jetting right on my shee for some time now, since i got it ported and polished, but i cant seem to get it, i thought i had it right, the other day, but when i pulled the plugs, the plugs look they were realyl dry, and like a whiteish brownish color, but dry. my set up is a uni foam filter, fatty pipes, mx ported and polished, im runnign 330 mains, 27.5 pilots, and middle needle, at 1000ft, and its around 20 degrees outside

Plug color should be dark brown to a black color on normal riding, but should lighten up to a brown color at wot...Have you checked the plugs after running it wide open throttle (wot) in 6th for 5-10 seconds?? Post a pic. I'd also try richening the needles, if that helps then go another clip. Trial and error.

well they looked they drying out at wot, like i was triding up my freinds driveway, and i was wot in liek 4th, and when i stoped i did a plug cheak and at the tip it looked like dry and light tanish whitish, and farther down to where it connects to the plug it looked like wet and dark, so i dunno

o and also, with the 27.5s im running on the pilots, that really wouldnt affect the plug color would it, or casue it to seize up, its mostly the main right, casue i know the 27.5's are alittle small, but its all i got right now

27.5s are probably a little rich for your setup but shouldn't hurt anything. I think your main problem is doing a correct plug check. You need to put new plugs in and ride through about half a tank of gas. Then put a sparkplug wrench in your pocket and line up on a long straight. You need to wind it up like you're in a drag race and hold it 6th gear pinned for about 5-8 seconds. Then kill the motor, pull in the clutch, and stop as fast as you can. Pull out one of the plugs and look at it. The porcelain (part that is white when new) should be medium brown. If it's black you're too rich, if it's white you're too lean on the mains.

 

*EDIT* I didn't notice you have it ported. The 27.5 pilots might be right.

You need to do a wot test in 6th gear. It has more of a load and will throw your jetting off. If your lean at 4th gear, then you definately have to go up on the mains w/ 6th gear. I'd throw in some 370 mains before you do your next testing. Better to be rich and work down. Your pilot should be very close if not perfect. If it starts right up warm and might need a choke when cold then your perfect. Try raising the needles for shits and giggles. Your shee will either pull way harder or it'll spit and sputter, no inbetween. You have some homework now... :P
