williamjernigan Posted December 23, 2004 Report Posted December 23, 2004 I got my bike back running after about 3 to 4 weeks. I have been waiting on some parts to come in so I could do everything at once. I got a -1 lonestar swinger off of ebay that is chrome and I got my tors installed and finally figured out my problem. I was having problems with it cutting off and not idleling so I figured out thanks to boonman that I forgot to unplugg the brain. Any ways I finally got to ride today and man I dont know if the removing the tors made a differece or rejetting made the difference, or if it was the swinger but man does it scream now. It seems to hook up so much better, due to the shorter swingarm. In 1st through 4th gear I felt like I was going to twist the axle it was grabbing so good. The carbs seem like they are free and rev smoother and more powerfully, without the tors crap. Quote
boonman Posted December 24, 2004 Report Posted December 24, 2004 I'm guessing that the new found power may be coming from having it jetted properly. And the swinger is gonna make it hook up so much more, that you will be putting the power to the ground, and feeling it, rather than spinning, and not feeling it..... Glad to hear that you got it back up and running!! Quote
williamjernigan Posted December 24, 2004 Author Report Posted December 24, 2004 Yeah thanks for your advice about the brain switch to boonman. That was all that it was. Once I unplugged that it took me about 3 min to get the idle screws were I wanted them. Quote
ledofthezep Posted December 24, 2004 Report Posted December 24, 2004 Right on! Yet another one that can vouch for improved performance with a shortened swingarm! Quote
MudDuck Posted December 24, 2004 Report Posted December 24, 2004 I also have been thinking of a shorter swingarm to. But i drag race alot would it hurt getting off the line from wheeling to easy or is that something that can be adjusted to from riding styles? Quote
