I am courious what pistons other than the ones La Sleeve sells for their kit will fit their 409 mono block. They had to model the Mono block off another type of piston. I can't seem to think they hold the patent on their pistons. In their article at www.lasleeve.com they said that if you have a long rod crank (Mine is a Weisco Crank) 68mm Blaster pistons will work. Will it be the same on a stock crank (like mine Weisco) that they reccomend for their mono block and could I use 68mm blaser pistons with it? Or would it cause the stroke not to be long enough?

I know that no one here is very familar with it but maybe you motor Guru's could give some input on what to measure to cross reference to another piston that's 68mm.

Thanks, :shrugani:

If you have a stock crank your not going to be able to run blaster pistons. Wiseco did make big bore pistons, I read somthing about them being discontinued, I'm pretty sure you will still be able to buy wiseco's. call em and ask or check out their site.

ok lemme take a stab at this. when using a 4mm long rod stroker crank you use the wiseco 795 series pistons. once you get to around .80 over i think they stop making the 795 series piston. once you get to that bore you have to switch over and run the blaster pistons. this is with the long rod crank. so if what you are asking is if you can use the same blaster pistons with the stock stroke and long rod, i believe the answer is no. if you were gonna leave it stock stroke you would stay with regular banshee pistons. hopefully someone can chime in and confirm whether or not this is right.
