stockridinshee Posted December 18, 2004 Report Posted December 18, 2004 ok i got my banshee from my cousin not to long ago and im starting to learn more about it. he put a k&n on it and he said he didnt rejet. wouldnt i be running lean if he didnt? and if he didnt what jets should i change to? oh yeah and i live in the detroit mi area. thanks in advance Quote
kw04 Posted December 19, 2004 Report Posted December 19, 2004 it depends do you have pipes on it. is the air box lid removed? if its just the k&n try going about 4 sizes larger on the main it should get you in the right ball park Quote
sredish Posted December 19, 2004 Report Posted December 19, 2004 For just a typical air filter change from stock to K&N should be a couple sizes bigger, maybe 3, but you'll have to find out whats in there and then go up from there. We can't tell you whats in the machine currently. If the snorkle is not removed from the front of the air box, remove it also. Quote
05bansh Posted December 19, 2004 Report Posted December 19, 2004 what should the jetting be at on a completely stock bike with the snorkel removed? Quote
sredish Posted December 19, 2004 Report Posted December 19, 2004 what should the jetting be at on a completely stock bike with the snorkel removed? 295091[/snapback] Well, it depends on how it was put together from the factory. There is a "stock" spec for the banshee, but it was actually shipped to different areas with different main jets depending on the region it was shipped to. It also depends on your elevation if your asking about a rejet. I'd say around 210 to 220, but it can vary a lot depending on the variables i mentioned. Quote
kw04 Posted December 19, 2004 Report Posted December 19, 2004 yea hes right check this out http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/jetfaq.html this should help you out alot Quote
stockridinshee Posted December 19, 2004 Author Report Posted December 19, 2004 its completely stock except the k&n and it has no lid or snorkle. Quote
