I was with one of my friends, he was in his truck, and we ended up getting stuck. The damn field all of a sudden sunk down, I guess I should have walked it first. But I was almost out and the police came and wrote us tickets and made us call the tow service to get out, even though I could have made it out, then I could tow my friend out. Just wanted to make us spend the extra $. Well the cop wrote "wreckless op, private property with property damage" on my ticket. How is that wreckless op? Well I am 17 and this is my first ticket so what do you guys think they will do? I have court on Dec.28. Quote

Maybe a lawyer can butter it up for you.... Maybe your buddy got a flat and it pulled him into the field, if you were just helping him, you were providing a service, etc... Get the point. loganskinner Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 you guys dont have the safe driver class that you can take to get points off your liscense and clear your driving record? i got reckless driving once and all i did was pay the ticket, take the 4 hour class online, and went up to the courthouse and showed them the proff that i took the class and they gave me a refund of my fine and cleared all the points and my driving record. I know a lot of people with tow trucks, and they charge around $200, just to leave the roadway, and hook up the cable. Did the cop call them, or did he make YOU call them? If THEY called, you might be able to get out of that bill. Quote

The cop said I had no other option but to get a tow truck, so he made me get a tow truck but he called them. I was almost out, there were 2 other cops there and the one was like "that thing has four wheel drive cant you just pull it out" and the other cop said no we gotta call the tow truck, he wanted to make me spend the extra $. How could I get out of that? Quote

05bansh Posted December 17, 2004 Report Posted December 17, 2004 Contact the citys Prosecuter BEFORE you go to court. You may be able to work something out with him and not have to go to court. Its worth a try. Quote
