DIRTBIKEZ Posted December 14, 2004 Report Posted December 14, 2004 Has anyone else ever imagined what I'd be like to operate a 2 stroke car? More specifically, a car with a similar "weight to horespower" ratio as the Banshee. Quote
tithead Posted December 14, 2004 Report Posted December 14, 2004 no, but now you have mentioned it, it sounds weird. would be a bloody fast car!!!! Quote
hemimike Posted December 14, 2004 Report Posted December 14, 2004 Trabant, is a POS two stroke car from east germany. Quote
SHEe DEVIL Posted December 14, 2004 Report Posted December 14, 2004 Suzuki made a two stroke car for a few years back i the 70's or 80's. It surly didnt have the power to weight ratio as a banshee, that would be more like an F1 car or a top fuel funny car having a two stroke.. HE HE Quote
rebelbanshee2 Posted December 14, 2004 Report Posted December 14, 2004 saab made one way back..it sucked Quote
FireHead Posted December 14, 2004 Report Posted December 14, 2004 There have been numerous two-stroke powered streamliners run at the salt flats that do have a similair power-to-weight ratio as a Banhsee. There are many problems with running a two stroke vehicle on the road concerning driveability and most important emissions. Quote
RNBRAD Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 How about those diesel 2 stroke powered trains and ships? I'm not kidding of course. Quote
sanddevil111 Posted December 17, 2004 Report Posted December 17, 2004 no, but now you have mentioned it, it sounds weird. would be a bloody fast car!!!! 292947[/snapback] lol that shit would be crazy fast but i bet that would be funny to hear it or see the guys expression in the vette or some shit like that next to you when you roost rubber all over his hood and windsheild...that might be the best alcohal influenced question i have ever heard Quote
loganskinner Posted December 17, 2004 Report Posted December 17, 2004 deisel trucks used to be mostly 2 stroke. that and they were supercharged instead of turbocharged. they were heavy, but quick as a motherfucker as far as a big ass truck engine was concerned. later they put turbos on top of the superchargers to give it even more all around power and really made the engine worthwhile, aside from the fuel usage that is. that was about the time that people started taking the superchargers off and putting them on their streetrods. no im not lieing either.
