I went and picked up 4 gallons today. At 4.36 per gallon im thinking you cant beat that. Octane is octane right? Im going to be running it half 91 and half 111 (101 octane) for the mods in the sig only because of the new +3/+4 timing combined with my 157 psi compression. Anyway im new to the race fuel thing that is why i ask. Oh and it is leaded too, does that fuck up anything? It says its for 2 and 4 stroke engines in the pamphet i picked up. Let me know users, Pros, and legends, im tuning tommarrow and going duning this weekend.

As long as that gas hasn't been sitting around in an open container it's fine. I run it straight in my 7mm stroker motor.

i run straight race gas

the leaded stuff is good and race gas is alway a much better refined fuel

i get chevron T111 for about 4.25 a gal here not a bad pric e really compared to some of the scary prices that guys pay out west there

i love the smell of race gas in the morning.

no lead wont fuck anything up. if you want, you could probably go down a CC, maybe two, on the domes and gain some compression while still being able to run a 101 average octane fuel.

Race gas is the best smelling stuff. I get my 110 octane for about $3.94 per/gal here. I don't think you can get that high of octane with out lead. I could be wrong though. Lead only messes up catalytic converters on cars and trucks so you dont have a problem.

Well i did a search on +4 timing and running higher compression, and i gotta tell you it is scaring the shit out of me. Guys are running similar setups and are still blowing holes in theyre pistons with similar octane ratings. I have backed the timing to +3 in hopes to buy back some reliability.

Does advanced timing make you idle higher? I got it all back togather last night and started it up and it revved to the moon instantly so i shut it off real quick. Its not the obvious, slides arent stuck, and no air leaks or anything like that. Ill mess with it more this afternoon i guess.

Taking suggestions though.

I was running +4 on my timing with 155lbs of compression running 93 and i didnt have any problems. The people that are blowing holes in their pistons must have other problems with your setup 101 should be adequate.
