93blueoval Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 I just installed a 35mm kehien on a 2 to 1 intake on my banshee, but the carb is leaking bad. I checked the floats to make sure they were moving properly, and still the same thing. It leaks from the hole where the air filter screws on, and the tube goign from the top of the carb on a screw, to the bottom of the carb into the bowl. Dont really know what all the pieces are called, or much about these carbs. Any advice as to how to get it to stop leaking would be great, thanks. There are pics attached, the pictures are where the leaking is coming from. Quote
banshee76179 Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 THe floats might be working when u install them , but it sounds like they r stuck and it keeps allowing fuel to flow... Quote

Wallynut Posted December 1, 2004 Report Posted December 1, 2004 Your float should be set about 16mm. Here's a site that might help ya: carb parts warehouse Quote

zilladude Posted December 1, 2004 Report Posted December 1, 2004 My 33PWK's did the same thing. When i held the carb & pushed up on the float it would catch( stick). The float was dropping too far down & sticking. There is a small tab that limits how far the float can drop, I just bent the tab a little until the float moved freely. Quote
93blueoval Posted December 1, 2004 Author Report Posted December 1, 2004 I think i am gonna start over with new needle and seats, does anyone know where to get them, and which kind to get. Quote
FIRST BANSHEE Posted December 1, 2004 Report Posted December 1, 2004 a good cleaning, reset the float height, and make sure your float is closing. you should be fine. with the bowl off and you carb in place, turn your gas on and hold the float up see if the gas stops leaking. you should be able to see where your problem is. good luck Quote
