brock_fuzzy_69 Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 yeah a guy on here did full underlighting and tailight in LED its justintoxicared there was a video floating around of it evan Quote
FireHead Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 I have red and yellow LED's on my dune cruiser. They are not the Plug and Play style like the tail lights for sale on eBay. I have mine wired in seperately. You can buy them for www.superbrightleds.com, solder in a resistor to dive them the proper voltage and amperage, then you can stick them anywhere. A couple of my buddies run them on top of their flags. Quote
tsuther78 Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 I have the same setup as Nickey. I like them alot. It makes you stand out at night. Quote
sanddevil111 Posted November 29, 2004 Author Report Posted November 29, 2004 Thats what i want is to stand out. I like blue but different colors would be cool too. hey if you can find those pics of justintoxicated's shee then send um. thanx yall Quote
Fireman-hott Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 I have a few LEDs laying around. What type of resistor do I need and do I need one for each LED or can I bring in power to it and then branch off. Quote
SDD Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 Justintoxicated's shee with blue led underlights and red tail lights Quote
sanddevil111 Posted November 29, 2004 Author Report Posted November 29, 2004 Another 286156[/snapback] damn that shit is so fuckin bright. i wonder if he had a switch or if it ran off the rpm's. thats crazy. Quote
tsuther78 Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 I remember seeing the video and it ran of the stator. Being at low RPM's the are dull. He said how he did it on the post for the video. I will have to find it though. Quote
Wallrat Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 Justin's LED setup is pretty complicated. Just slapping some LED's in your bike won't get those kinds of results. I ordered some cheap LED's off ebay and rigged up a flag mount using a small RC battery pack. Pretty bright but nothing like the 1 or 3 watt ones Justin has. I'm sure he'll chime in soon and give you all kinds of specs that make no sense. Fireman...you need to know what the voltage range of your LED's are. If they're 3v LED's then you'll need a 9v resistor to run off of 12v. Another option is to wire the LED's in series. You can run four 3w LED's in series off of 12v...no resistor. Quote
sanddevil111 Posted November 29, 2004 Author Report Posted November 29, 2004 maybe when we all go to little sahara we can all get them and ride at like 2 in the morning. that would look fuckin sick at night. if you were one of us you would proly think you were lookin at some ufo cus there would bee little bright lights seemingly floating in the darkness.
