oldturtle Posted November 27, 2004 Report Posted November 27, 2004 Saw an article in some truck rag about Coral Pink Dunes and was wondering what some of you might think about them. Quote
it's stolen Posted November 27, 2004 Report Posted November 27, 2004 I went there once and had a lot of fun its just too far for me to drive and I passed 2 closer dune parks. If you go there you need to take the back way in thru hurricane utah the road goes in to arizona and into the dunes if you go thru zions they charge 20 bux a car to go thru. You might want to stop at sand hollow ( i think thats the name) state park in hurricane there are some fun dunes there too Quote
lvracer36 Posted November 29, 2004 Report Posted November 29, 2004 Thier very nice dunes, if you need pics go to dunereview.com Quote
Cotton eyed Joe Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 (edited) I've never been. Azsandrat, Gary from Quicksand, said he was planning on going there and wanted to meet up, but I haven't heard from him in like 6 months. I know someone thats been there, and they said they are decent. I think they might be a bit small, but riding is riding, and as long as its sand, I don't care. oldturtle Posted December 1, 2004 Author Report Posted December 1, 2004 Thanks for info. I'll try and check out when I pass thru next spring. Being small isn't all bad because it is easier to learn the area. Quote
lvracer36 Posted December 4, 2004 Report Posted December 4, 2004 Their a place to ride in the summer, but will be snowing their in winter. Also check out Sand Mtn, NV and LS,Utah, also both of those are summer places, I see your norcal, you probably go to pismo. Quote
05bansh Posted December 17, 2004 Report Posted December 17, 2004 I havent rode there yet. I live only a few hours away. My brother and I have been talking about planning a trip there. We usually ride Jerico (little sahara) here in Utah. Quote
lincster Posted December 17, 2004 Report Posted December 17, 2004 (edited) We were there over 4th of July. Pretty cool area, very pretty. Dunes are very small, at least to what I am used to..... Glamis. But, sand is sand and when it is 115F in Phoenix in the summer, it is someplace nicer. We are going to take the rails up there next 4th of July also. It is crazy, during the day, it is pretty toasty, but as soon as the sun goes down, it is cold as hell. Edited January 28, 2005 by lincster Quote
