williamjernigan Posted November 19, 2004 Report Posted November 19, 2004 I have a -1 lonestar swinger that I will be installing soon. I was thinking last night that since the swinger is shorter then the rear shock will sit closer and more upright. If this is true then this should raise the rear up bit shouldn't it? Also I know their are many topics about front yfz 450 shocks but my question is how much higher will they make the front end sit and if they do sit higher then how would it ride with the shee sitting higher? nater006 Posted November 19, 2004 Report Posted November 19, 2004 The -1 may make it sit a lil higher, a bit of which will be due to that the rear shock won't sag as much with less leverage (shorter swingarm) working on it. If its sitting higher, it'll also be tippier due to the higher center of gravity. Quote

tats4life Posted November 19, 2004 Report Posted November 19, 2004 it shouldn't sit any higher than your stock.....my -2 didn't make my bike sit any higher. Quote
bigboybanshee Posted November 19, 2004 Report Posted November 19, 2004 I don't have a shorter swingarm but from what I read they cut the swingarm after the shock mount (after meaning from front to back), which woulld not affect the way it sits heighth wise Quote
